Mobiles phones

So it turns out my broken mobile is caused by a memory card. If I take the card out, the phone works "so it's not broken then is it" said the charming and delightful customer care assistant at Orange. "ermm, where shall I begin". After not very long at all we agreed that it was "not fit for the purpose for which it was sold" as I had suggested they could have the whole bloody thing back.

Just remembered that I'd forgotten she told me "most of these phones have the same problem as you, we are waiting for Sony to advise us". "oh really, so your stringent test that means phones are always 2 months later to market on Orange doesn't really work so well". After a little more chat it appeared she meant she remembered speaking to another one. GRRRR.

"would you like a replacement", erm no. So I had decided to get the Orange SPV C600 (cunningly it supports Napster :D through the integrated Windows Media Player 10). Then a funny thing happened, Google released a new version of gmail. gmail mobile which solves all the mail problems and I discovered that really as long as I kept to the WAP websites I had no real use for the full Internet experience - as good as it is.

So now I don't know what to do. I could wait for the W900i when it comes out. Bigger, bulkier, no better in all probability. A smartphone that's bigger? Its all tricky. Not that it matters - the envelope that I'm waiting for to send my phone back hasn't arrived :(
