Christmas Trees and Christmas with Thomas

Sunday (7 full days ago :$) found us looking for a Christmas tree at Millets Farm. The whole place is quite exensive and we bought a 6' tree. I can't actually think about anything interesting on that trip so I'll leave it as "we bought a tree"

The afternoon offered a trip to see Santa at Didcot on one of their Thomas Days in essence, this consists of a trip of around 400 yards on Thomas the tank engine before being herded through an old carriage to see Santa. There can be no faulting the man himself (for who could crititise Santa) but the experience was so good, we couldn't wait to leave. Ironically the trip cost £36 which is more than a trip to see Santa in Harrods. If Harrods were to rate as an 8/10 experience - yes i'm a harsh marker - Thomas and Santa rates a poor 1/10. I'm not sure it helped that it was very cold. In fairness we went the year before and the whole experience was OK but this was terrible. We all went to the pub so we could get over it.

I think the children thought enjoyed the pub with the ballpool play area more than the Thomas experience.
