Bike Blues

Seems as though I'm out of luck with bikes at the moment.

My road bike has a slipping saddle. The seat clamp is very broken. Mefinx it's a design fault but I am certain that I won't ride it again until it's fixed. The last time I rode it my knees were so sore that I hobbled for 2 days afterwards. On the positive side I won't be riding this bike until at least April next year as the winter months are dedicated to mountain biking... :D

My mountain bike is suffering from chain suck. I could do the whole technical thing but its much more simple than that. The pedals just lock. I nearly went over the handlebars due to it over the weekend. Sadly it seems as though it's a bit of a tricky one to fix without costing lots of money on new chainrings, chain and hell you've got to throw a cassette in really.

My folding bike. My favourite bike. It's not well. I'm not entirely sure what's wrong or how to go about fixing it without breaking the piggy bank but I suspect it's simply wear and tear. I ride it a lot and I ride it hard.

The only question is what do do about it all. An easy win is to leave the road bike until the spring. I don't ride it all that much anyway. I have 3 mountain bike rides in the next 6 weeks. I suppose I could live with it for a while and see how it is next time. The folding bike is so much more tricky. Hmmm... more next time.
